With the majority of shirts for the 20/21 season now revealed, we’ve taken it upon ourselves to sort through the lot to come up with our Top 20 designs. Sure it’s going to be controversial, but that’s half the fun, right?
We’ve already announced our Top 20 Premier League shirts of the 20/21 season, and now a few weeks on and with most teams’ offerings unveiled, we’ve cast the net a little wider for our Top 20 Shirts Of The 20/21 Season. Not restricted to any one country or continent, this is what we in the SoccerBible office think are the best club designs from across the globe. That's right, no space for the likes of Nigeria here. And believe us, it wasn’t easy; this could easily have been a top 50. But we had to stop somewhere, so if you’re favourite is not in there, well, tough. Let’s get started, shall we?

Buhari receives No.10 jersey from FIFA president. President Muhammadu Buhari today welcomed the FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, to the State House in Abuja. During the visit to the State House, the Nigerian president was presented with a number 10 jersey and a football. The FIFA President came in company with his African counterpart.
20. Galatasaray Home – Providing a contemporary twist on the club’s classic design, the Galatasaray home shirt takes the usual 50-50 split of of the club’s colours and updates it with a blurred effect between the two that runs right down the centre of the shirt, which represents the flame of Galatasaray fans meeting with the team. Strong start.
19. Juventus Home – adidas have got the knack of keeping Juve's home look fresh, reverting to the classic stripes after last season's 50/50 split. But the stripes are a hand painted design, and they're joined by gold embellishments. Fit for the champions of Serie A.
18. Paris Saint-Germain Away – Marking the club’s 50th anniversary through a celebration of their beloved Hechter stripe, the PSG away shirt took its cue from the white kit worn in the 1995/96 season when Les Parisiens captured a first major European title. Clean and traditional.
17. Corinthians Away – Clean kit, oversized badges – there's a lot to like with the Corinthians away shirt. The fact that it also pays tribute to the 1990 title winning team on the 30th anniversary of their legendary victory just adds another level of appreciation.
16. Manchester City Away – Copper on black where the quite a few went for a more classic gold on black, PUMA then added another level of class with a graphic that pays tribute to the city’s historic Castleford and Bridgewater canal. Bespoke black beauty, this.
15. Arsenal Third – The design of the Arsenal third shirt saw colours representing the lights and atmosphere that illuminate the Emirates Stadium during a night match, with the blue and navy elements referencing the night sky, and the vibrant lights of the stadium brought to life in the lighter flash orange details. But who really cares about all that when it looks this good?
14. Barcelona Home – The design of the Barca home shirt features a look that's inspired by the 2011 Champions League winning shirt as well as the club's successful 1920s period, while a halftone gradient effect across the red and blue stripes lends it a deep texture. It's another fresh tweak on the classic Catalan aesthetic.
13. RB Leipzig Third – Arriving as one of the Nike kits to be influenced by classic Air Max trainers, the RB Leipzig third shirt features a bespoke all-over swirling graphic created by heavily distorting an image of the club crest. Wild isn't even the word; this is balls-out crazy and we love it.
12. Juventus Third – The Juve third shirt brings a bold orange colour to the Bianconeri for the first time in the club’s history in an expression of confidence and vibrance to reflect the team’s spirit on the pitch. Further evidence – if it were ever needed – of the club’s constant progression.
11. Manchester City Third – Proper marmite this one, with fans split right down the middle of either loving it or hating it. But we land firmly in the former camp, with a wild design that epitomises where football shirt culture is right now. Your dad will hate it, but honestly, this is a shirt of art.
10. Paris Saint-Germain Third – Welcome to the top 10, and here's where Leeds United fans can feel hard done by, for there was only room on the list for one Burgundy shirt with gold accents, and were it not for PSG's latest hook-up with Jordan brand, then the Yorkshire club would've been in. As it is though, the self-styled kings of the cross-over are just impossible to ignore.
9. AC Milan Home – A sleek design inspired by the elegance and grandeur of the city of Milan, its magnificent structures and its iconic architecture, the Milan home shirt also feels traditional and in line with the club's values. All boxes ticked in the finest style worthy of the fashion houses of the City itself.
8. Inter Milan Home – When you're talking about recreating the traditional home look but at the same time keeping it fresh, you don't get a better example than the Inter home shirt. Inspired by postmodern Milanese designers of the 1980s, it features reimagined Nerazzurri stripes in a pop style, designed in waves and zigzags, alongside a crew neck collar and black side stripes. And yes, it's fine if you want to start supporting Inter now.
7. Valencia Third – Inspired by the works of the Valencian painter Joaquín Sorolla and the light of the Mediterranean, the Valencia third shirt features a soft print in a combination of grey, lavender and sky blue tones. Soft, subtle and a totally different shift to anything else on the list.
6. Red Star FC Away – The shackles are well and truly off, as Red Star joined up with We Are Acid FC to create something that's free of the confines of tradition. It’s in the finer details of this shirt that the majesty is held; the toile de jouy – the famous French fabric pattern style – is used to retrace the club's history, with ten sketches made up of famous players, supporters, Bauer, the Olympic, and future generations. Look deeper and admire this stunning execution...
5. Arsenal Away – We originally had the Gunners' third shirt just ahead of the away when we ranked the 20 best Premier League shirts of the 20/21 season, but we've since had a change of heart, with the unique design of the away just growing on us. Inspired by the patterns, colours, and motifs found amongst the iconic East Stand of Highbury and its prestigious marble halls, this is bloody beautiful.
4. Ajax Away – The design of the Ajax away shirt takes a mix of blue tones with and mixes it with a modern interpretation of the types of graphic patterns that were popular in the eighties and nineties. Disruptive in its execution, this is yet another unique look that stands alone.
3. Inter Milan Third – Instantly bringing to mind images of peak Ronaldo, the Inter third shirt is undoubtedly the best of the Nike third shirt brigade. It draws inspiration from one of the most iconic Air Max styles — the Air Max 97 “Silver Bullet”, but it's those retro-vibes that had us sold.
2. Roma Away – Roma and Nike together just don’t do bad shirts, do they? That's why it's all the more sad that this is one of the last ones we'll get from the partnership. But what a way to sign off; the stripped back ivory design of the shirt highlighted by that polo collar, which comes in dark red with yellow and red border details, bringing to mind the club’s away shirts from the early 1980s — Bellissimo!
1. Liverpool Away – Kicking off their new partnership in some style, the Liverpool away shirt instantly announced what Nike were all about. Where New Balance found their groove with their home shirts towards the end of their tenure, they never quite nailed the away and third shirts. But Nike came in with an offering that at once nodded to the tradition of the club, while taking them into unexplored territory in the most radical way.
Honourable mentions for the Real Madrid third shirt, Kaizer Chiefs home, Marseille away and Dortmund home, with the latter only missing out due to the jarring sponsor.
So there you go. Now you can shout at us on social media for how wrong we got it...

A new NBA season is rapidly approaching and, since Nike took over the uniforms from Adidas back in 2017, that also means a new 'City Edition' jersey is rapidly approaching. These jerseys integrate some part of the city that the teams play in, whether that's 'Boathouse Row' in Philadelphia, oranges from Orlando or the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. We've given every jersey a Wack, Mid or Fire ranking so you know which NBA teams to avoid on League Pass this year.
1. Los Angeles Clippers
Just last year's boring jersey in black? Shoutout to the graphic designers who finessed the Clippers' marketing team on this one.
2. Detroit Pistons
It looks like someone updated their paint program on their Windows 98 computer and finally got curved font! So plain it hurts.
3. Toronto Raptors
When Drake is a part of your organization and this is the best you can come up with, it's extremely disappointing to say the least. I guess Drizzy really has his hands full with Adonis.
4. Houston Rockets
This is a huge step backwards from last year's city edition jersey with the checkerboard on the side and the clean astronaut-looking font. Respect for taking a gamble and completely changing colors but it didn't pay off here.
5. Brooklyn Nets
When these were first leaked, people legit thought it was a joke. Do I need to say anything else?
6. Boston Celtics
Paying homage to the championship banners, I get it. But what I don't get is how you don't do a single other thing on the jersey to spice it up.
7. Oklahoma City Thunder
I first thought it was dope that they created a jersey that looked like a race car driver's jacket but then I found out that it wasn't supposed to look like a race car driver's jacket.
8. Milwaukee Bucks
Anytime the Bucks come out with a jersey and don't plaster that iconic deer on the front, it's an L.
9. Orlando Magic
I love the concept/color scheme of oranges from Florida and all that but they should've swung for the fences, this feels like they just tried bunting to get the runner over.
10. Sacramento Kings
The jersey itself isn't terrible but when you think of the team name being the 'Kings,' you expect so much more out of royalty.
11. Dallas Mavericks
The Mavericks' color scheme is pretty limiting to begin with so I like that they completely changed it up, I just don't know if I'm in love with the design of it...and for those reasons, I'm out.
12. Cleveland Cavaliers
What they tried doing here is respectable but it ended up looking like a ransom letter from Kevin Love asking someone to save him from Cleveland.
13. Los Angeles Lakers
It's hard to miss with light blue and white and I don't think the Lakers necessarily missed here, it's just decent and that's it.
14. New York Knicks
At first, this die-hard Knicks fan absolutely hated these. However, they've started to grow on me thanks to the blue and orange gradient and NYC patch on the upper left chest.
15. Atlanta Hawks
Fifa
I'm a fan of the color scheme, a fan of the big letters and a fan of the cause. Good jersey, not great.
16. Utah Jazz
The whole sunset theme was absolute heat and this jersey just gives us a tease of it. Disappointed but still clean.
17. Philadelphia 76ers
Best Soccer Jersey 2021
When you bring back a legend like Allen Iverson to help hype up the new jersey, I expect something legendary. These are obviously not legendary but the hat tip to Boathouse Row was cool.
18. Denver Nuggets
Denver has some of the nicest team colors in the league to work with so going red was dangerous. Even though it looks a little like a jersey from aliexpress, it works.
19. Portland Trailblazers
You can tell the Blazers really thought about this one. From the sleek brown to the topographic map pattern to the color tribute to local tribal nations, this is a solid jersey.
20. New Orleans Pelicans
Probably one of the most criticized jerseys on Twitter, this is clean and I look forward to seeing it 40 feet in the air when Zion goes up for an alleyoop.
21. Minnesota Timberwolves
Forget about this being a tribute to the north star and all that, it's black and neon green and the fact that we don't have a professional sports team called the aliens pisses me off to this day. The Wolves get all the love for this galactic jersey.
22. Chicago Bulls
This is how you do a primarily black and gold jersey, Toronto.
23. Miami Heat
People are either going to love or hate this one, and it's just so hard to mess up a pink and light blue jersey.
24. Washington Wizards
Maybe it's the Yankees fan in me that subconsciously loves navy and gray but this is one of the coolest patriotic jerseys I've seen in a while.
25. Phoenix Suns
The marketing team for the Suns have one of the easiest jobs in the NBA when it comes to designing jerseys due to all the iconic jerseys they have to pick from. They went in a new direction with this Minecraft-looking jersey and they killed it.
26. San Antonio Spurs
This is a fiesta-themed jersey which features bright colors on a black jersey. What more can I say?
27. Indiana Pacers
If you don't look at this and immediately think of Jermaine O'Neal, you're too young for me. Not pictured here is the Motorola logo that'll appear as a patch and the memories from 2006 are flooding back.
28. Golden State Warriors
The classic #WeBelieve Warriors jerseys with a tribute to Oakland as the team now plays in San Francisco. Magnificent.
29. Memphis Grizzlies
It was SO hard not putting this number one. The Grizzlies always get it right and this jersey is no difference: the details on the collar/side lining, the beautiful color scheme and the modern font. 10/10 from me.
30. Charlotte Hornets
What looks like a color scheme stolen from Diamond Supply Co., Michael Jordan's team did their thing on this one. Bright turquoise, pinstripes, the Jordan logo and one of the league's brightest young players in LaMelo Ball? Charlotte is headed in the right direction.
