I have two tiny changes to make to a document and don't want to purchase a PDF editor, or end up with their watermark on my pages. Recommendations? thanks so much!

There are a few out there, but they all have an agenda to get your business. If you want full control of your documents for future use i'd recommend just buying the basic Adobe software. You'll save time and grief in the long run and your files will be available in future if you need them.
My two bits,
Adobe PDF doesn't have a watermark unless you choose to. I discovered there is a bunch of other stuff you can do with purchasing the service. For instance, I can take a Word document and covert it to a PDF. I also have Adobe Fill & Sign. I've needed a basic non-disclosure agreement signed online and it really makes my life easier
Use smallpdf.com and convert your pdf into any editable format and then save it in whatever format you want to save or use.
Hi Ila, hope all is well! I downloaded a free 7 day trial version of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC last week. No watermarks...combined pages and edited my pdf. Worked like a charm!
What OS are you running? If Win10 look @ its Store Apps & or its embedded PDF Reader. There are APPs that can do it.. if not free, might cost around $2.
I can use my mac to create PDF's, you could use the Free PDF converter to a word doc make the changes then PDF'it.

How to Edit PDF with PDFelement Pro

Edit PDF text

To move an image, you can just drag it to the desired location.To resize an image, you can select it then drag a corner. To retain the original aspect ratio, please hold the Shift key and then drag the corner.
