This is a purdee good alarm clock. Allows for various clock faces and a number of alarm sounds. Works as advertised. The GUI is fairly sleek; however, initially it is a little unintuitive: the alarm can only be set via the GUI (by clicking the alarm time on the display), not via preferences. It only took about 30 seconds of frustration to learn this, but it would be nice if this were pointed out via the scant documentation. Speaking of which, there is no documentation file with the app, and the help info via the menu bar doesn't explain this either, nor does the info on the developer's webpage. I deducted one star for ease of use for what otherwise is a very simple and straightforward interface.BUT, once you figure this out, it is a very nice system. Upgrading to the paid version allows one to create more alarm sounds/feeds and to use the sleep timer function that plays music from one's iTune library. My one gripe is that the product description sort of intimates that this is one of the basic features, but I can't blame the developer for trying to reel in users of the free version first, and then enticing them with the bonuses of the paid version.
